Clearpoint Solutions, Inc., a leading edge provider of advanced services in
the design, development, construction and maintenance of computing
systems, announced today that it will now be known as Acacia Consulting,
Inc. Easier and faster customer recognition is the prime motivation behind
the name change; the ownership and mission of the company will remain
unchanged.
About the Acacia
Acacia: (ekā´she), any plant of the large leguminous genus Acacia, often thorny
shrubs and trees of the family Leguminosae.
The Acacia Tree, native to Africa, is truly the tree of life. It can survive
drought conditions because it has developed long taproots that can
penetrate deeply into the earth - sometimes up to a hundred feet - and due
to this it can survive decades of drought by tapping subterranean
reservoirs, which other plants cannot reach. It is also fire resistant in that
some varieties re-sprout from the root crown when a fire damages the
above ground portion of the tree.
The acacia is useful in several respects. It is a strong tree that provides
shelter for wild animals from the searing heat of the sun, as well as
provides food and nourishment. In many places, it is the only shade that a
traveler can find in an otherwise bright and blistering desert. The wood of
the acacia is very hard, and an excellent building material: whether one is
building something as important as a tabernacle or as common as a camel
saddle - acacia is a durable choice.
Since ancient times, the Acacia has been a symbol of stability and
resilience.
